Merchantville Fishing Club meets the 2nd Monday of each month at the Merchantville Community Center at 8:00 pm. All members are welcome and encouraged to attend. The meetings provide information about fish-off's, tournaments, state regulations, etc. Visitors are also welcome.

ANNUAL AWARDS BANQUET  

On Saturday, March 29, 2025, we will be celebrating our 77^th Anniversary Awards Banquet.  The banquet will be held at Happy Hour Club, 764 E. Laurelton Ave. (Rt.73 S), Maple Shade, NJ  08052 from 6:00 pm until 10:00 pm.  The cost is $45.00 for adults and $25.00 for juniors (16 & under).  Beer, soda, and setups will be provided. Guest, spouse, and/or juniors attendance is encouraged.  Come out and have an enjoyable evening with us.

Advanced reservations are required - "NO" tickets will be sold at the door. Seating will be limited to ensure we don't overcrowd the room. The event is mask optional and attendees are encouraged to wear one if you'd feel more comfortable.  Anyone experiencing "flu like" symptoms is asked to stay home and not to attend. We will refund your ticket cost.

Reminder - Annual dues are due. Dues should be paid on or before March 1, 2025. Annual dues are $20.00 for adults and $5.00 for juniors.  You can send your dues via mail to Bill Watson, 20 Elm Avenue, Haddon Twp. NJ 08108-2606 or Contact Greg O'Connell 609-204-0220.

Reminder- The 2025 optional "Fish Pools" have begun and sign-up slips are available. Contact Bill Watson (bwats2412@aol.com) (609-680-8030) or Greg O'Connell (goenvl@gmail.com) (609-204-0220) for additional information. You can also sign up for the fish pools at the monthly meeting or annual banquet. Gotta be in it to win it.

Reminder - Monthly meetings are held the 2^nd Monday of each month at the Merchantville Community Center at 8:00 pm. All members are encouraged to attend. The meetings are the best way to keep up with club activities and get information about fish-offs, tournaments, state regulations, etc.

ANNUAL SURF FISHING TOURNAMENT ON THE BEACHES OF LBI, NJ

 This event will be a team and individual tournament.  Team (6 anglers) registration is $80.00.        Individual registration is $20.00.  Registration checks can be mailed (payable to                        Merchantville Fishing Club) to MFC Tournament Chair, C/O Gene Aikens, 30 Merion Lane, Maple Shade, NJ   08052. ASAC 72 hour rule applies. Morning of registration may be limited, so please call or email Gene Aikens @ 609-440-6994 / fishnut1965@yahoo.com to RSVP.

Registration (Surf City Fire Hall):                  5:30 AM to 6:30 AM

1st Fishing Session:                                        7:00 AM to 9:30 AM

2nd Fishing Session:                                       10:00 AM to 12:30 AM

Lunch & Awards:                                            Hot Lunch will be served, followed by raffles                                                                                    & awards at the Fire Hall.

Tournament Headquarters: SURF CITY FIRE HALL, 713 Long Beach Blvd., NJ 08008.

Beach buggy permits have been waived for the Tournament.  Only vehicles with 4 wheel drive and aired down tires (18 psi recommended) are permitted on the beach.  Please try to limit your vehicles to 2-3 buggies per team.  Association of Surf Angling Club (ASAC) tournament rules apply.  Please visit www.asaconline.org for a complete copy of the rules.

Team:  1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd Cash Prizes.   Individual:  1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd Gift Cards.

Optional Calcuttas: Most Fish Points ($5), Largest Bluefish ($10) Largest Other ($5)
